How to respond to provocations?

At the initiative of the Assistant Rector of the Medical University of Karaganda Mirsaid Onaybekov, a high school meeting was held between the heads of the school groups of Medicine, Public Health and Pharmacy, Dentistry and Nursing Education with the head of the Youth Resource Center of the region Yerzhan Khamitov.

Mirsaid Rashidovich informed the audience about the cases of information attacks and provocative releases to social networks and instant messengers that took place in the republic. He cited examples of the emergence of unreasonable excitement, the spontaneous spread of panic rumors, which entailed the attraction of significant forces and means to localize the situation and heal public opinion. He warned about the responsibility for disseminating information calling for social, racial, class and other discord, as well as about the inadmissibility of participation in illegal activities related to the propaganda of ideas of political, religious, national extremism, and urged those present to bring the voiced arguments to the students of their groups.

Yerzhan Khamitov drew the attention of the audience to the activities of interested state and law enforcement agencies, special services, aimed at protecting Kazakhstan society from the negative influence of the ideology of religious, political and national extremism. He urged the younger generation to unconditionally comply with the current legislation, to be aware of the responsibility for their actions and statements in social networks and mobile applications. In general, he spoke about the work carried out this year, in the framework of the Year of Youth announced by the Head of State

  Certain aspects were also discussed that contribute to the consolidation of the so-called “zero tolerance” to the ideology of religious, political and national extremism between students.

The meeting was held in the form of "live" communication. The leaders of the groups actively discussed the presentations of the speakers and participated in the controversy, which indicates their interest in obtaining relevant knowledge on this topic.
