Announcement of a Competition for grant funding of research for young scientists on the "Жас ғалым" (Zhas galym) project for 2027-2029!
The Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces a competition for grant funding of research projects for young scientists on the "Жас ғалым" (Zhas galym) project for 2027 (execution deadline: 36 months) in the following priority areas of the development of science, in accordance with the Competitive Documentation:
– Climate Resilience, Water Security, Natural Resources, and Sustainable Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex;
– Technological Sovereignty and Industrial Competitiveness;
– Health, Human Development, and Quality of Life;
– National Security, Defense, and Sustainability of Territories and Critically Important Infrastructure;
– Fundamental Research, Research Trail, and Scientific Capability.

· Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; lunch break: 1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.
· Application forms are submitted to the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in electronic form, verified with the electronic digital signatures of a research adviser and the applicant, via the "NCSTE" JSC information system at https://is.ncste.kz .
The terms of the competition
The start of accepting applications is from October 12, 2026.
Deadline: until November 10, 2026 (inclusive).
