“#MedicalNonHackathon” Olympiad Held in Karaganda

On April 17, 2026, the “#MedicalNonHackathon” Olympiad was held at the IT-hub “Terrikonovaya Dolina” in Karaganda. The event was organized by the Hematology Center together with Karaganda Medical University for KMMU students.

The event brought together 30 students from the 4th to 7th years of study. The Olympiad was organized with the participation of Professor L.G. Turgunova, MD, head of the hematology residency program, hematologists, as well as first-year residents in «Hematology (аdult) F.Ya. Gazetdinov and B.R. Zhunusova.

The program included two stages:
• Round I — quiz
• Round II — clinical case solving

The absolute winner of the Olympiad was 6th-year Therapy intern Nazerke Zhaishibekova.

All participants received certificates and commemorative prizes.
