“#MedicalNonHackathon” Olympiad Held in Karaganda

On April 17, 2026, the “#MedicalNonHackathon” Olympiad was held at the IT-hub “Terricon Valley” (Karaganda), organized by the Hematology Center jointly with "Karaganda Medical University" NCJSC for KMU students.

The event brought together 30 students from the 4th to 7th years of study. The Olympiad was organized with the participation of the head of the hematology residency program, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor L.G. Turgunova, MD, hematologists, as well as first-year medical residents in "Hematology (аdult)" specialty F.Ya. Gazetdinov and B.R. Zhunussova.

The program included two stages:
• I round — quiz

• II round — clinical case solving

The overall winner of the Olympiad was 6th-year intern on the "Therapy" specialty Nazerke Zhaishibekova.

All participants received certificates and commemorative prizes.
