On April 9, 2026, a national scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the prominent statesman and public figure Alikhan Bokeikhan was held at Karaganda Medical University. The event was organized by the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Political Disciplines, together with the “Kuretamyр” historical and local history club.

Students from Karaganda, Astana, Almaty, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, Kostanay, and Taraz participated in the conference both online and offline, presenting their research papers. The program included a guided tour of the university, as well as a book exhibition organized by the Karaganda Regional Youth Library named after Zh. Bekturov.

During the plenary session, the university administration and invited guests delivered speeches highlighting the importance of Alikhan Bokeikhan’s legacy and his role in shaping national consciousness. The presentations provided a comprehensive analysis of his personality, political views, and contributions to the country’s development.

Sectional sessions focused on the legacy of the Alash intellectuals and socio-philosophical issues in medicine, fostering meaningful academic discussion.

At the conclusion of the event, the best presentations were awarded, and the conference was highly praised as an important platform for scholarly exchange and intellectual dialogue.\
