From May 15 to 16, 2026, the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists of Medical Universities “Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy” was held in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.

Residents of Karaganda Medical University participated in the conference. Representatives of about 40 medical universities from different countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, India, Latvia and others, took part in the event. More than 1,200 scientific reports were presented during the conference.

As part of the conference, the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Jasur Alimdjanovich Rizaev, presented a letter of appreciation to the Rector of Karaganda Medical University, Bakhyt Nurgaliyevna Kosherova, for active international scientific cooperation and participation of young researchers in the conference.
