The walls of their beloved Alma Mater once again reunited those who have spent decades applying the knowledge gained here for the benefit of health of citizens, alongside those who are just beginning their great journey in medicine.

The evening opened with a vibrant dance flash mob set to a medley of music hits from past decades—the times when our honored guests were still students. The familiar rhythms instantly blurred the boundaries of time. Alumni from different generations enthusiastically cheered on the dancers, and many simply could not resist joining in, completely immersing themselves in the atmosphere of their youth.

The official part of the event was opened by the Chairman of the Board – Rector, Bakhyt Nurgaliyevna Kosherova. In her welcoming speech, the head of the university expressed her deep gratitude to the graduates for their dedication to the profession and their invaluable contribution to the development of national healthcare.

"Each of you represents the pride and the living history of our university. Your achievements prove the high quality of medical education that has historically been established in Karaganda. Today, we are not just welcoming back colleagues; we are showcasing the continuity of medical traditions to our current students," Bakhyt Nurgalievna emphasized.

The most touching moment of the event was a performance by graduates from half a century ago. They brought with them a very special gift—a book titled " Однокурсники " (Fellow Students), which brought the pages of their shared youth back to life. A video clip dedicated to the graduates of the Faculty of General Medicine brought a moment of light sadness. When the song " Не теряйте друзей" (Don’t lose your friends) resonated from the stage to a gentle guitar accompaniment, the audience could not hold back their tears. It was incredibly sincere and deeply moving.

The evening was further elevated by vocal performances from current university students, Alyona Nechiporenko and Milana Konina. The future doctors and young colleagues presented the audience with heartfelt compositions. A unique synergy was felt throughout these performances—a profound respect for the older generation of professionals and a readiness to take over the mantle of service to medicine.

The ultimate surprise of the creative program was a performance by a legendary group: the original members of the "Karakoz" Folk Oriental Dance Ensemble. Especially for this reunion, the members of the first lineup reunited to take the stage once more. Their elegant, refined movements and incredible grace sparked a range of emotions and a nostalgic applause in the audience. This performance became a living symbol that the university's creative spirit and its best traditions remain intact through the years.

The KMU Alumni Event proved once again that the medical brotherhood knows no time limits. The university always remembers, values, and awaits its graduates—the doors of their Alma Mater will always be open to them.
