On April 9–10, 2026, the II Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Interdisciplinary Neurology in the Age of Digital Transformation: Challenges and Innovative Solutions" was held in Astana. It brought together leading specialists and young researchers in the fields of neurology, rehabilitation, and digital medical technologies.
The conference was attended by scientists and practitioners fr om various countries, including Russia, the United Kingdom, and Israel. Participants discussed modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions, as well as prospects for implementing digital technologies in clinical practice. On behalf of “Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor T.T. Kispayeva delivered a report "Neuroinflammation: Current State of the Problem, Diagnosis, and Improvement," presenting the key concepts of neuroinflammation and its role in the development and progression of neurological conditions.
The conference included a competition for young scientists, wh ere “KMU” NCJSC presented research work on innovative methods of restoring neurologic functions, telemedicine, and digital rehabilitation. KMU's bachelor’s and master’s degree students actively participated in the young scientists' section, presenting the following reports: "Speech Recovery Using Digital Technologies in Patients after Stroke" (N. Kaiyrzhanova, T. Zhunussova, academic adviser – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor T.T. Kispayeva), "Using Digital Technologies in Gait Restoration in Patients with Cerebral Apoplexy" (A. Zheksenbaeva, T. Vlasova, academic adviser – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor T.T. Kispayeva). The research paper by N. Kaiyrzhanova and T. Zhunussova, "Speech Recovery Using Digital Technologies in Patients after Stroke," was highly rated by the expert council and took first place, confirming the high level of scientific training of the young researchers and the relevance of the presented research.
The conference became an important platform for exchanging experience, enhancing international collaboration, and developing innovative approaches in neurology and medical rehabilitation.
