As part of the academic mobility program, Karaganda Medical University hosted Professor Joachim Liepert, Medical Director of the Neurorehabilitation Department at the Schmieder Clinic, and Dr. Aida Zelle, a research fellow at the Lurija Institute (Germany), from April 27 to April 30, 2026.During the visit, Professor Liepert conducted a lecture series on motor and speech function recovery post-stroke for residents specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (adult and pediatric) and Neurology. Concurrently, Dr. Zelle delivered lectures and clinical workshops on neurorehabilitation methodologies. This collaboration facilitated the integration of innovative teaching practices into the university’s educational curriculum.Furthermore, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between Karaganda Medical University and Kliniken Schmieder (Stiftung & Co.) KG (Germany), a formal meeting was held between the university Rector, the Schmieder Clinic professors, and Stefan Böckle, Head of the International Office at Kliniken Schmieder.
