On May 29, 2026, A.I. Ongarbayeva, Assistant Professor from the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Sciences conducted an advisory hour with students from the group 1004 of the joint educational program “6B10117 – Medicine” dedicated to the State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Presentations were delivered by Mukhammedrasul Duysenbai, Viktor Gusmanov and Vladimir Botto who spoke about the history of the creation of the state symbols of the sovereign state. This way, June 4, 1992 became a historic day when the coat of arms, flag and anthem of independent Kazakhstan were officially adopted.
The speakers also noted that Kazakhstan’s flag won the international online competition “Flags of the World” and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful flags in the world.



State symbols are the main attributes of sovereignty, reflecting the identity and history of Kazakhstan. They serve as the foundation for shaping national identity and symbolize inviolability of territorial integrity and national unity.
The advisory hour dedicated to the Day of State Symbols focused on fostering a respectful and considerate attitude toward the state symbols of Kazakhstan, a sense of patriotism and love for their Motherland among younger generation.
