Participation in the 10th All-Russian Congress on Medical Microbiology, Clinical Mycology and Immunology
25 June 2026
In June 2026, A.B. Nikolayeva, Assistant Professor from the Department of Biomedicine, attended the 10th All-Russian Congress on Medical Microbiology, Clinical Mycology and Immunology (XXIX Kashkin's Readings, Saint Petersburg, Russia) with an oral presentation discussing the etiological role of the microbiota and the biofilm formation activity of microorganisms in the development of infectious complications.
During the congress, a discussion was held with Russian colleagues on the acquired resistance of infectious agents to antimicrobial effects. Discussions were held on possible ways of effects on microbial communities for their effective neutralization and improve patients' quality of life. This enabled to incorporate acquired experience into microbiology sessions for students of «Biomedicine», «Dentistry», «Pharmacy» and «Medicine» programs, and to plan the creation of joint scientific publications with Russian colleagues.
We would like to express special gratitude to the KMU administration for the opportunity to participate in this congress, which not only enabled to gain information of interest and exchange experience, but also encourage the establishment of new joint programs.
