On November 20, 2025, employees from the Department of Internal Medicine held a roundtable discussion for students and dormitory staff as part of the health school on the topic of: "Всемирная неделя правильного использования антибиотиков 16-22 ноября" (‘World Antibiotic Awareness Week, November 16-22’) and "Антибиотики и резистентность: что это такое и как это влияет на наше здоровье?" (‘Antibiotics and resistance: what are they and how do they affect our health?’) 
The event moderators were Professor of the Department L.Sh. Seksenova and Assistant Professor G.T. Abuova. The roundtable discussion was attended by the faculty of the department, students from the groups 3-006, 3-010, 3-014 in Dentistry, 3-010, 3-037, and 3-040 in General Medicine, along with staff from the dormitory No. 4. A total of 76 people participated.



The following reports were presented in state and Russian as part of the roundtable discussion:
* Professor L.Sh. Seksenova - "Антибиотики и резистентность: что это такое и как это влияет на наше здоровье?" (‘Antibiotics and resistance: what are they and how do they affect our health?’);
* Professor S.D. Nursultanova - "Антибиотики. Устойчивость к противомикробным препаратам" (‘Antibiotics. Resistance to antimicrobial medicinal products’);
* Assistant professor G.T. Abuova - "Дүниежүзілік антибиотиктерді дұрыс қолдану апталығы" (‘World Antibiotic Awareness Week’);
* Assistant professor A.A. Serikbayeva - "Использование противомикробных препаратов в животноводстве" (‘Using antimicrobial medicinal products in animal farming’);
* Assistant M.N. Butyugina - "Рациональное использование противомикробных препаратов и регулирование их применения" (‘Rational use of antimicrobial medicinal products and regulation of their use’);
* Student S. Shakir from the group 3-014 - "Направления сдерживания антимикробной резистентности (ВОЗ)" (‘Ways to curb antimicrobial resistance) (WHO)’;
* Student M. Akimbayeva from the group 3-006 - "Антибиотиктер – абайлап қолданыңыздар!" (‘Antibiotics - use them carefully!)’
At the end of the meeting, the participants unanimously noted the timing of conducting World Antibiotic Awareness Week. It is important to hold public awareness campaign in demonstration lessons, workshops, and roundtables format for medical professionals, students, and the general public on antibiotic resistance, as this phenomenon affects all sections of the population, regardless of age, social or ethnic communities.
The event was a significant contribution by the department to the development of a social process of the proper use of antibiotic and confirmed high interest of medical professionals, students and the general public
