Student event dedicated to the Day of Conscience.
On April 4, the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Disciplines held a methodological seminar dedicated to the International Day of Conscience. The event was organized by students of the OM-2036 group with the participation of Indian students.
The topic of conscience is highly significant, as it serves as the foundation of moral behavior, a person’s inner ethical compass, and the ability to independently formulate moral obligations and exercise self-control. It is expressed through a sense of responsibility for one’s actions toward oneself and society, helping individuals distinguish good from evil and make choices in favor of spiritual and ethical values.
Insightful presentations were delivered by Kamilla Yermenova, Salimbek Rakhmankulov, Aigerim Kundak, Luiza Nakostkhoyeva, Alikhan Serikbay, as well as Shrishti Kumawat and Samarth Bhatia (Group 2005, International Medical Faculty). Their works explored the concept of conscience in ethics, philosophy, various religions, science, medical practice, and social thought. The student journalists covering the event were Makhamatali Beksultan, Alexey Shapilov, Sofya Spirina, Sarvinoz Abdurashitova, Salima Zhumaniyazova, and Ramazan Yevloyev. Alexey Shapilov was responsible for technical support, while Assel Saduakassova managed photo and video recording.
The seminar concluded with a creative theatrical performance by Sarvinoz Abdurashitova, Assel Saduakassova, and Aksaule Nazir. An exhibition was also prepared for the guests, followed by refreshments for all participants.
Among the honored guests were Duman Bazerkeevich Malayev, Head of the Research Department of the Karaganda Regional Department of Internal Policy at the State Enterprise Kogamdyk Kelisim; Diya Kushkenovna Yerzhanova, Deputy Chairperson of the NGO Alliance of Innovative Development of Society Kenjol, public figure and entrepreneur; and Tatyana Aleksandrovna Rezvushkin, Head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology at Karaganda National Research University named after Ye.A. Buketov, who delivered the opening remarks.
The guests highly evaluated the serious preparation for the event, the use of diverse sources, and the students’ theatrical talent. They also expressed gratitude for addressing such an important and timely topic for students and society as a whole.
The topic of the spiritual and moral education of young people never loses its relevance, as reflected in the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
